End of season 2024

This is the last shipment for 2024

We have had a huge season dispite  challenges from the ever changing weather

We had the lowest rainfall  for 5 years (700mm compared to > 2000mm for   20223 2022)

We have almost continuous rain for the picking season that restricted picking .

In 2023 we removed over 3,000 non productive or unsuitable varieties and replanted with more suitable varieties.

These included more reds and emerald greens.

Shelf life trials  confirmed that cirtain varieties were more suitable and these were planted out.

It was confirmed that our post-harvest proceedures will deliver up to one month at 5 to 8C (normal fridge vege box)

However the best storage was dry, cool and in an open  (or holes for air) container . Do not use a sealed plastic bag or plastic container.

This will establish Fingerlimes fresh as one of the larger pruducers of fingerlimes in Australia.

Next season will be even bigger with new develpements in long shelf life bead/pearll products stabel at 8C as well as a special blast frozen bead/pearl product that retains cripness when thawed.
